Landscaping Needs by Home type
Landscaping needs vary depending on the type of property you own. In this article, we’ll explore the different landscaping requirements for various types of homes, including small and large lots, single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments.
If you own a home on a small lot, you may have less outdoor space to work with for landscaping purposes. However, it’s still possible to have a beautiful and well-maintained yard by using vertical elements such as trellises and wall planters, and focusing on low-maintenance plants and hardscaping elements like pavers or gravel.
Homes with large lots have more room for landscaping, but it can be more challenging to keep a large yard looking well-maintained. To manage the space effectively, divide the yard into smaller sections and focus on one area at a time. Investing in tools like a riding lawn mower or gas-powered hedge trimmer can also make yard work easier and more efficient.
Single-family homes often require regular lawn maintenance, including mowing, edging, and fertilizing, as well as tree and shrub trimming, weeding, and mulching of flower beds. Townhomes may have smaller outdoor spaces with basic lawn and plant care needs, or more extensive outdoor areas requiring tasks like tree and shrub pruning, mulching, and irrigation system maintenance.
Apartment buildings can have varying landscaping needs depending on the size and layout of the property. Small outdoor spaces or common areas may only require basic lawn and plant care, while larger outdoor areas may need more extensive landscaping tasks like tree and shrub pruning, mulching, and irrigation system maintenance. It’s important for apartment dwellers to understand their responsibilities for the upkeep of outdoor areas and to be aware of any rules or guidelines set by the property owner or management company.

From Our Clients

“This has been my favorite home improvement project. This company literally made me a yard where there previously was overgrowth, concrete, large stumps and rocks. They were able to complete the project on time and their cost was much more reasonable than others I interviewed. The project lead Fernando was hard working and communicative. The owner David (and Jeff previously) as well as the GM Chris all stayed in touch throughout the project. I would definitely use them for other projects in the future”

“The team put in an irrigation system in our front and back yard, cleaned everything up and added many new plants to the sunny and shady areas around our home. The owner was very personable, explained everything well and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was fantastic to work with. His team was wonderful, super hard workers, and very friendly. They helped create color and beauty in every nook and cranny of our yard. My husband and I are very thankful we used this company.”

“Happy with my choice. I had a very small townhouse backyard that was a bit of a mess (low quality builder-grade plantings) and had somewhat of an idea what to do with it. They provided good advice and the final result turned out very well. Finished ahead of schedule too! One year later and I’m still happy with the result. I definitely won’t forget the attention and responsiveness of this company. Thanks a bunch! ”
